The Adult Content Creator Network Needs You!

Background

In the month of July, 2025, online game sales platforms Steam and itch.io were pressured by Visa and Mastercard to remove thousands of video games after the Australian organization, Collective Shout issued complaints to those payment processors. These complaints accused Steam and Itch.io of hosting and selling games that contain excessively abusive content.

At the time of writing, this has been the most recent in a long string of actions taken by activism groups to expressly suppress the rights of adult content creators. Rights including the freedom of expression and right to make a living off of our own labor. This is without mentioning that organizations like Collective Shout and the National Center On Sexual Exploitation are expressly hostile towards LGBTQIA people and are intentionally conflating the LGBTQIA movement with sexual predators and abusers for the purpose of eliminating LGBTQIA rights across the world.

Make no mistake, these events are as much a threat towards queer people, if not more, as they are towards adult content creators and that is why the Adult Content Creator Network has been formed.

What is the Adult Content Creator Network?

The Adult Content Creator Network (ACCN) is a newly formed non-profit organization that aims first and foremost to protect the rights of adult content creators. Our goal is to protect freedom of expression and the right to making a living off of one's labor against organizations like Collective Shout and the NCOSE as well as larger corporations like Visa and Mastercard.

If you are reading this, then that means that the ACCN has just concluded its first board meeting on Wednesday, July 30th, 2025. This meeting was set up to form an initial structure of the board and an initial set of by-laws which are intended to allow for a second board meeting on Saturday, August 2nd, 2025.

This second board meeting intends to open the floor for new board members across the world to join and help build an organization where you, as either an adult content creator and/or consumer of adult content, can voice your concerns and make them heard.

We want to represent adult content creators in as many fields as possible. This includes actors, artists, animators, camshow performers, game developers, musicians, streamers, voice actors, writers and any other creators of adult content as well as consumers of adult content. For that purpose we ask that you consider joining our board meeting on August 2nd.

What are the expectations, rights and responsibilities of an ACCN board member?

For some clarifications on this segment, please refer to our current list of by-laws. These by-laws are not intended to be the final by-laws of the ACCN, the final exhaustive list of by-laws is intended to be written and agreed upon by the future board of the ACCN.

At this early stage of the ACCN, much of the organization has not been finalized. Since the current total membership of the organization and its board only numbers 3 individuals from the same country, we have intentionally left much open for changes from our future board.

If you are interested in joining our board, here are some expectations, rights and responsibilities you may want to consider first:

Qualifications

On the whole, the only requirement you need to fulfill as a board member is that you are 18 years or older. You can be a professional content creator or a hobbyist in any field you consider would fall under our concerns.

We welcome people from all nations for the purpose of letting as many diverse voices as possible to make themselves heard.

Meetings

At this early stage, you are expected to partake in a number of foundational board meetings. From our discussions so far, we expect that we will need around 4 meetings taking around 2-3 hours each. These meetings are crucial as they are intended to set up the structure and by-laws of the organization, so you are expected to partake in at least one of these 4 meetings.

A standard requirement of an organization like this is also that it holds one yearly meeting that the board members are required to partake in. Health reasons may exempt you from participation.

Privacy

We are fully aware that privacy is a big concern for adult content creators and we are just as concerned as you are in protecting your private data. That being said, board members will at a certain point be required to provide legal names, personal identification data and addresses.

This is a standard legal requirement for most non-profit organizations like this. But just because you need to supply this information does not mean it will be made publicly available. At most, this type of information will only need to be present on internal official documents like protocols and voting registries. Public copies of these documents may be created, but we intend to either remove or replace private information on these public copes to protect your identity.

The current board of the ACCN is dedicated to protecting the private information of all members and you will not be expected to supply any such information until after the conclusion of our second board meeting in the event that you wish to join the board.
